The Female Planet is a collection of 360 immersive videos available on YouTube from Google Daydream and Surround Vision. The series aims to introduce young audiences to global female role models who are breaking barriers and helping make the world a better place.
Each role model shares their personal and professional experiences in virtual reality (VR). VR immerses the viewer into the realms of five extraordinary female leaders with careers in science, technology, sports, and the arts. A 360 degree look into the subjects' jobs and daily life enables the viewer to shadow and learn from each role model. Each episode features a different leader, such as Tiera Fletcher, a Boeing aerospace engineer designing a rocket for the NASA mission to Mars or Golden Globe-winning actor Gina Rodriguez, who focuses her career on roles that empower women.
